The Dooradoyle school has won the prestigious hockey title for the third time in 11 years

CRESCENT College Comprehensive celebrated their Kate Russell All-Ireland schoolgirls hocky success when holding their medal presentation at the Strand Hotel on Saturday evening.

The Dooradoyle school celebrated their Kate Russell All-Ireland schoolgirls hockey success when holding their medal presentation at the Strand Hotel on Saturday evening.

Crescent regained the title when winning three and drawing one of their four games in the Kate Russell tournament.

It was a third victory for Munster champions Crescent College in the prestigious All-Ireland competition over the past 11 years following earlier victories in 2015 and 2019.

Crescent had won the SoHockey 2025 Munster Senior 'A' Girls Hockey title for the first time since 2022 when defeating Mount Mercy 3-1 in an entertaining final played at Ursulines College, Thurles in February.

That Munster final win secured Crescent's passage into the Kate Russell All-Ireland Schoolgirls Hockey Championships at Three Rock Rovers where the competing sides played four matches over two days in April.
