LIMERICK hurling supporters travelled to a sun-drenched Páirc Uí Chaoimh in their thousands on Saturday evening as the reigning provincial and All-Ireland champions took on great rivals Cork in a big Munster senior hurling championship round robin fixture.
A pulsating contest ended in a 3-28 to 3-26 victory for Cork who needed to win in order to keep their championship ambitions alive.
Limerick, who have now taken two wins from their opening three round robin fixtures, will face Waterford in their final group game.
