TREATY United's search for a badly-needed victory in the SSE Airtricity League First Division continues this Friday when Tommy Barrett's charges host Wexford at the Markets Field, 7.45pm.
Treaty United had their winless run in the First Division extended to nine games when suffering their fourth consecutive loss with a 1-0 defeat to Athlone Town in the SSE Airtricity League First Division at the Markets Field on Monday afternoon.
Treaty had Evan O'Connor controversially sent off in the 65th minute of the contest with the home side trailing to a Dean Ebbe strike within seconds of the start of the second half of the game.
This was a sixth defeat in 10 league games for Treaty. Treaty's prospects have been hampered by several injuries to key players.
Monday's reverse followed Treaty United's 1-0 defeat to Finn Harps at Finn Park in Ballybofey on Friday night last. The frustrating run of results has seen Treaty United drop to eighth place in the First Division table, now nine points off the promotion play-off places.
Friday's visitors to the Markets Field, Wexford, are sixth in the table, eight points clear of their hosts. They secured a 1-1 draw away to Cork City on Monday.
Treaty United's last League win came in Kerry at the beginning of March.
