Munster Rugby issues squad injury update ahead of big Connacht URC clash

THE Munster Rugby squad is continuing preparations at the High Performance Centre at UL ahead of Saturday’s United Rugby Championship Round 16 clash against Connacht at Thomond Park, 5.15pm, live on RTE2.

Ticket sales for Saturday's game in Limerick have already passed the 17,500 mark. Adult tickets are available from €20 with a Family Pack of 4 tickets just €40.

On the injury front, John Hodnett is continuing to rehab from a leg injury and will be unavailable this weekend.

Josh Wycherley is following the graduated return to play protocols and his availability will be determined later in the week.

There is good news for Liam Coombes as he returns to training following a shoulder injury.

Academy player Brian Gleeson has also returned to training following an ankle injury.

In player news, John Ryan has completed his three-game suspension for an act of foul play against Cardiff in March.

Continuing to rehab: Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder), Diarmuid Barron (foot), Roman Salanoa (knee), Jean Kleyn (knee/eye), Paddy Patterson (knee), Patrick Campbell (shoulder).
