THE Limerick senior side returns to action in Division 1B of the Very National Camogie League this Saturday when hosting Wexford at Kilmalllock, 2pm.
A resurgent Antrim side came from behind to defeat Limerick by 3-10 to 2-5 at Ballycastle last weekend. Goals from Niamh Ryan and Caoimhe Lyons gave Limerick a 2-2 to 0-4 interval advantage but Annie Lynn buoyed the hosts with a goal early after the restart.
Antrim boss Carl McCormick introduced four subs, who all had an impact and two of them, Fionnuala Kelly and Sarah Fyfe raised two green flags to secure the points for the Saffrons.
Wexford are assured of a place in the final with one round remaining as they cruised to a 4-15 to 0-3 success over Kerry. Limerick secured big wins in their opening two Division 1B fixtures against Kerry and Down before suffering back-to-back reverses at the hands of Dublin at Parnell Park and more recently Antrim last weekend.
Meanwhile, the Limerick junior camogie side suffered a 1-10 to 1-3 defeat to Dublin in the Very Camogie League Division 3B Final at at the Tipperary Camogie Grounds at The Ragg on Saturday.
Talented Limerick forward Ella Hession had rocked Dublin with a stunning goal in the first half to give the Shannonsiders real hope at the break, trailing by 0-9 to 1-3, having played into a very strong wind. However, a 44th minute goal from Dublin's Anna Sullivan swung the final decisively in their favour.
