Treaty United host Cork City in top-of-table First Division clash

TREATY United will return to action in the SSE Airtricity League First Division this Friday evening when hosting Cork City in a top-of-the-table Munster derby fixture at the Markets Field, 7.45pm.

Treaty United's scheduled league meeting with Longford Town at Bishopsgate on Saturday night was postponed.
The was called off after the pitch failed its pitch inspection ‘amid heavy rainfall.’ 

Competition organisers confirmed that a new date for the game will be communicated for the fixture ‘in due course’.

Unbeaten Treaty United currently sit in second place in the SSE Airtricity League First Division table, three points behind table toppers Cork City, but with a game in hand.

Last time out, Treaty United surrendered a two-goal half-time lead as well as their perfect start to the season in a game of two halves with Bray Wanderers which ended in a 2-2 stalemate at the Markets Field.

The home side, cheered on by a bumper official attendance of 2,175, had gotten off to the perfect start in this SSE Airtricity League First Division clash with goals from team captain Marc Walsh after two minutes and Thomas Considine five minutes before half-time.
