PICTURES: Munster Rugby players and Limerick hurlers attend Special Olympics Munster team send-off

SIXTY five SPECIAL Olympics Munster athletes, along with coaches and family members were treated to a fantastic send-off by Munster Rugby players and Limerick hurlers at an event in St Munchins College, Limerick.

In attendance at the launch was All-Ireland winning Limerick hurlers Dan Morrissey and Darragh O’Donovan as well as a number of academy players from Munster Rugby. 

Organised by the team Head Coach, Dorothy Kavanagh, the event gave athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills, as they prepare for the Special Olympics Ireland Winter Games, which will be held in Northern Ireland from this Friday 22 to Sunday 24 March.
