The U18 boy's schools Republic of Ireland team
LIMERICK teenager and Treaty Utd player Robbie Lynch has been named on the Republic of Ireland U18 schoolboys squad that will face Northern Ireland tonight in the second of their International SAFIB Centenary Shield fixtures in Athlone Town AFC, kick-off at 7pm.
This is a busy week for Lynch, who lined out for Treaty in their 4-1 defeat in the Munster Senior Cup on Monday evening against Kerry FC.
Head Coach Derek O’Brien will be looking for the full points on offer having opened their campaign last Thursday night with a one all draw against Scotland.
Northern Ireland enjoyed a massive 3-0 win at home to England the week previous which is a bold statement in their ambitious endeavours this year.
Robbie, who attends Hazelwood College, is the only Limerick player named on the squad for today's fixture. The Republic of Ireland U18 team have two more games to play in the Centenary Shield against England on April 5 and Wales on April 18.
