Limerick junior camogie side records back-to-back league victories

LIMERICK'S junior camogie side recorded their second win in the Very Ireland 3B league with an impressive 5-16 to 1-5 tally against away to Antrim over the weekend. 

They will now go into the semi-final's of the competition which are set to take place on March 16. Limerick will face Down at home with a venue and time to be confirmed. 

Scoring was opened up from Limerick's Lisa English after three minutes in. This was quickly followed by an Ella Hession point. Valerie Shanahan scored Limerick's first goal after eight minutes which was closely followed by a point from play from Val herself.

Lisa English and Ella Hession traded scores for Limerick's next four points with Amy Burke point and an Ella Hession goal both finished off the first-half on a scoreline of 2-08 to 1-04. 

Limerick were aided by the breeze after the break and came out of the blocks quickly to put the game to bed with Ella Hession scoring her second goal of the game and a further four points from Valerie Shanahan. 

Ciara Dunne got a lovely score from play as did Emma English and substitute Olivia Kerins. Replacements Zara White and Laoise Fitzgibbon both hit the back of the net for Limerick from play in the last ten minutes of the game.
