LIMERICK County Board have this morning confirmed that next Saturday evening's Allianz League Hurling Division 1B clash with Tipperary has been moved to SuperValu Páirc Ui Chaoimh.

In a statement issued this Saturday morning, the Limerick County Board outlined that last December upgrading works of the playing surface at the TUS Gaelic Grounds were carried out.

The statement continued: "However in light of the current inclement weather conditions and low temperatures the pitch is not ready to facilitate such a game.

Limerick GAA would like to thank Cork County Board and SuperValu Páirc Ui Chaoimh for facilitating the change of venue.

Limerick GAA have thanked the county's 'loyal fan base and express our regret that we can not host this game.'

Limerick's opening home fixture of their Allianz Hurling League campaign against Antrim was switched to FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles.

The Limerick County Board have confirmed that 'for supporters who have tickets purchased, Croke Park Ticketing office will be in contact in due course' with details of new arrangements. We wish to acknowledge the assistance from Tipperary County Board and the CCCC in facilitating the change.'

All other aspects of the Saturday, March 9 fixture remain the same with a start time of 7.35pm and the game will be broadcast live on RTE 2 television.
