TFA Elite unveils high-performance Academy transition year football programme

THOMOND Football Academy Elite, under the guidance of Academy Director Tommy Heffernan, has introduced an innovative Transition Year Football Programme in an exciting development for budding football talents.

This programme aims to provide youngsters with a comprehensive experience, mirroring the life of a full-time academy football player.

Tommy Heffernan, a highly qualified professional with a BSc in Physical Education and an MSc in Performance Education, has designed the curriculum. The programme will be conducted at the state-of-the-art facilities located at the UL Sport Arena, ensuring an optimal learning environment for aspiring footballers.

The TFA Elite Transition Year Football Programme offers participants the opportunity to receive the highest level of training on a regular basis. This will not only enhance their technical skills but also expose them to the theoretical aspects of training plans and the lifestyle of high-performing athletes.
