Limerick players help Munster Development XV edge past Ulster at UL

Shannon RFCs Harry Long scored two tries as a Munster Development side defeated Ulster 21-17 at UL on Friday

A MUNSTER Development side secured a hard fought 21-17 victory over their Ulster counterparts in a competitive fixture at UL on Friday afternoon.

Two tries from Shannon RFCs Harry Long and one from his clubmate Darragh McSweeney saw Munster run out winners.

UCCs Ben O’Connor added two conversions with Cillian O’Connor, of Shannon RFC, kicking one.

Head Coach Tommy O’Donnell used all 26 players in the squad, including Academy duo McSweeney and O’Connor.

Stephen Kiely, Sean Edogbo, Andrew O’Mahony, Jake O’Riordan, Oisín Pepper, Jacob Sheahan, Harry Long, Gordon Wood and Josh Costello all featured after spending time with the senior squad during pre-season.
