Limerick's William O'Connor has reached the second round of the 2023 Jack's World Series of Darts Finals
LIMERICK arrowsmith William O'Connor powered his way into the second round of the 2023 Jack's World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam after an impressive first round win over German number one Gabriel Clemens.
Cappamore man O'Connor produced an ultra consistent display to defeat World championship semi-finalist Clemens 6-2 in their first round meeting on Friday night.
Thirty seven-year-old O'Connor, nicknamed The Magpie, will now face Dutch superstar Michael van Gerwen in Saturday evening's second round of the 2023 Jack's World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam.
O'Connor stormed into a 3-0 lead against Clemens on Friday night, following up a 100 finish with an 87 checkout on the bull.

The Limerick arrowsmith finished with a flourish taking out 125, his second ton-plus finish of the contest, to ease to victory.
“I’m happy to get through it. Gabriel beat me in the World Championship, so I wanted to get one back,” O’Connor told the PDC official website.
“Gabriel struggled at times with his finishing and I wanted to keep him under pressure. Fortunately it worked out okay.
