THE Premier League’s Tuohy Cup kicked off this week and Fairview were first to progress following a penalty shoot out win over arch rivals Ballynanty Rvs.
In a drab game, Fairview looked the most likely throughout and although they couldn’t find a way through in 90 minutes, they kept their nerve to record a deserved win.

THURSDAY night’s encounter produced more excitement when the top two sides in the Premier League crossed swords in round one.
The game was evenly poised when Shane Clarke headed in from Shane Walsh’s corner kick after the restart.
The lead was doubled within minutes when Clarke took advantage of a miskicked clearance firing to the net despite the efforts of Richkov Boevi.
Aisling responded well and scored the goal of the game when Jeffery Judge found Sean Ezekannagha who beat two defenders and crossed for Judge to put the finishing touch.
Try as they might Aisling could not get past a tight Pike rearguard.
