Limerick's JP McManus tees off with soccer superstar in star-studded Wentworth Pro-Am

LIMERICK businessman JP McManus is playing in a star-studded fourball at the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am at Wentworth in England today, Wednesday.

McManus is group with with multiple Major winner Rory McIlroy, retired football superstar Gareth Bale and former Premier League star Jermaine Jenas.

The fourball was among the morning starters in the Pro-Am.

A host of celebrities will mix it with golf's top professionals in the eve of tournament Pro-Am.

Welshman Gareth Bale won five Champions League titles with Real Madrid in a glittering career.

JP McManus also played in the Pro-Am at the Horizon Irish Open at the K-Club last week in the company of Ryder Cup-winning captain Paul McGinley.

A wealth of sports and entertainment stars will be on display at Wentworth for today's Pro-Am, with Hollywood actor Tom Holland joined by his brothers Sam and Harry in the following group alongside Major Champion Jon Rahm.
 
England cricketers James Anderson and Stuart Broad will play with Justin Rose, with former horse racing jockey Sir AP McCoy completing that fourball

Sir Andrew Strauss and former Scotland international rugby player Thom Evans play alongside Ryder Cup Vice Captain Edoardo Molinari.

Wentworth members Kevin Pietersen and John Terry are in fourballs alongside Yannik Paul and Tommy Fleetwood respectively.

From the world of television, newsreader and journalist Naga Munchetty is joined by former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and actor Tom Felton from the Harry Potter franchise in a group alongside Rasmus Højgaard.
