Limerick football final moved to avoid rugby clash

LIMERICK GAA have confirmed that Sunday’s county senior football final will now start at 4.00 to avoid a direct clash with Ireland’s Rugby World Cup quarter final, which begins at 1.00.

The Dromcollogher-Broadford v Newcastle West game was due to start at 3.00 but this Monday night the decision was taken to move the final back one hour.

The game takes place in Fitzgerald Park in Kilmallock. The curtain-raiser to the senior final will be the Premier Minor final between Newcastle West and Fr Caseys at 2.15.

Elsewhere there is a hectic schedule of replays, finals, semi finals and quarter finals over the weekend.
