NA Piarsaigh’s All-Ireland club hopes have been dealt a blow with confirmation that attacker Adrian Breen is to miss their semi-final with Portumna.

The free-scoring corner-forward sustained a broken collar bone in a challenge game against Cork IT. Ahead of their February 8 semi-final in Thurles, the Limerick SHC winners have also played Dublin and UL in challenge games.

While Breen is ruled out, Kevin Downes and James O’Brien are carrying slight knocks but should be ok to start against the Galwaymen.

Downes (NUI Galway) and Alan Dempsey (LIT) have Fitzgibbon Cup games to play before the All Ireland semi-final while teenage stars Ronan Lynch and Michael Casey play in the Harty Cup semi-final for Ardscoil Ris next Saturday.
