Limerick hurling fans call it ahead of senior county final

Let battle commence between Kilmallock and Na Piarsaigh in the county final!

WILL THE celebrations be in south Limerick or the northside of the city tonight?

Both Kilmallock and Na Piarsaigh supporters are in confident moods ahead of the Whitebox Limerick Senior Hurling Championship Final.

Limerick Live spoke to men, women and children from the Baalbec and Caherdavin to gauge the mood outside a blustery TUS Gaelic Grounds.

Conditions are very different to when a number of players lining out today ran out in Croke Park on All-Ireland final day in July against Galway.

Lifting the Liam MacCarthy with their county and the John Daly Cup in the same year is a bucket list moment for every hurler in Limerick.

But will it be Na Piarsaigh or Kilmallock?

Referee John O’Halloran, from Bruree, will throw the sliothar in at 3.45pm.

For those who can’t make their way to the TUS Gaelic Grounds, the match is being shown live on TG4.

Another stiff test awaits the winners as Waterford champions Ballygunner await in the Munster Senior Club Championship on November 15 - plenty of time for celebrations!

May the best team win.
