THREE Limerick ladies football teams will continue on to the Munster Championship after their appearances in the Limerick Intermediate and Senior County finals earlier this month.
2024 Limerick Senior champions St Ailbe's will move down to the Intermediate Munster Championship and take on Waterford Senior champions Na Deise away this Sunday in the Munster quarter-final. Tipperary champs Cappawhite will come up against Clare team Eire Óg in the opposing quarter the same day.
Limerick senior finalists Ballylanders will also move on to the Munster Championship, but will play in the harder competition of Senior 'B'. Landers will take on Kerry's Scartaglin on Sunday, October 27 in their quarter-final.
The final Limerick team in Munster action is Intermediate champions Mungret St Paul's who have gone straight through the semi-final of the Junior 'A' competition on Saturday, October 26.
They will await the winners of the Munster quarter-final between Abbeydorney and Moyne Templetouhy.
Elsewhere the Limerick Junior A, B and C championship finals will take place this weekend. In the Junior A competition, Monaleen will take on Pallasgreen on Sunday at 12pm in Cappamore.
Monaleen got the better of Croom by three points in their semi-final while Pallasgreen narrowly got past St Senan's by a single point, 0-16 to 0-15.
In the Junior B championship Galtee Gaels and Mungret St Paul's will battle it off against each other for the sliverware. This fixture will be a repeat of the league final a few months ago in which Galtee Gaels won.
Mungret and the Gaels will play their Junior B final in Oola this Saturday at 2pm.
Galtee Gaels produced a confident 3-12 to 5-4 victory over Monagea in their semi-final while Mungret overcame Gerald Griffins in the second-half of their semi to book their final spot.
The Junior C county final will be contested between Oola and Knockainey on Sunday at 12pm in Cappamore.
Knockainey got the better of Cappagh in their semi-final last Monday evening, 3-11 to 2-6.
The novice final will also take place this weekend with Dromcollogher-Broadford taking on Old Mill in Mountcollins GAA pitch at 8pm on Friday evening.
