Ballylanders in action against Monagea in the 2021 Limerick Ladies Senior Football Final
"EVERYTHING needs to be at 100% this Sunday to get the result we want" stated Ballylanders ladies football manager Mikey Fox ahead of his side's senior A county final against St Ailbe's this weekend.
This will be Ballylanders first time back in the Senior A final since 2021 when they fell short to Monagea on that occasion. They will have another tough test in facing St Ailbe's this Sunday, who remain the only unbeaten team in the ladies championship this season.
Speaking about the final manager Mikey Fox went on to say:" We played well in the first 40-minutes against Ailbe's in the opening round of the championship, but they got on top of us in the end. Since then we have improved game on game and at the start of the season we had eyes on qualifying out of the group and winning the semi-final and we have gone and done that now.
"Monagea and St Ailbe's have stopped us in our tracks the last few years and we need another step up in improvement this Sunday again. I feel like the girls have put in the hard work over the last few weeks and we are confident we will be there or there abouts this weekend."
The senior A final will act as a double-header of matches in Cappamore with the Intermediate county final taking place at 1pm and the game on at 3:30pm.
