THE FIXTURES for the 2026 Munster Minor and U20 Football and Hurling Championships have now been announced.
The Limerick U20 hurlers will begin their Munster U20 Hurling Championship campaign with an away fixture against Cork on April 1, before travelling to Clare a week later on April 8. Evan Loftus’ side will complete their round-robin programme with home games against Waterford on April 22 and Tipperary on April 29.
Following the round-robin series, the teams finishing second and third will contest a Munster semi-final on May 6, while the top-ranked side will advance directly to the Munster final on May 13. Limerick have failed to reach the knockout stages of the Munster U20 Hurling Championship in each of the past two seasons.

The Limerick U20 footballers open their Munster Championship campaign against Waterford on March 14. John O’Grady’s side then travel to Tipperary on March 21, before hosting Clare on March 28. The top two teams will progress to a round-robin series alongside Cork and Kerry, while the teams finishing third and fourth will meet in the Munster U20 B final on April 9.
Diarmuid Mullins will oversee his first competitive fixture as manager of the Limerick minor hurlers in 2026 when his side host Waterford on April 3. Limerick then face Clare away in round two on April 10. Their remaining fixtures see them host Tipperary on May 1 before travelling to Cork on May 8 to conclude the round-robin series. The Munster Minor Hurling Championship final is scheduled for May 15.
Former Limerick footballer Garrett Noonan will take charge of the Limerick minor footballers this season. His side begin their provincial campaign away to Tipperary on March 30, before facing Clare on April 6 and travelling to Waterford a week later on April 13. The top two teams will then advance to a round-robin series alongside Cork and Kerry.
