Ardscoil Rís target provincial success against CBC of Cork in Dean Ryan final

ARDSCOIL Rís target provincial success today, Monday, afternoon when they take on CBC Cork in Dean Ryan Cup in Kilmallock GAA Grounds at 1pm.

Former Limerick hurler Niall Moran is in charge of the city school. Ex-Clare hurler Paul Flanagan is part of Moran's backroom team.

Ardscoil Rís booked their place into the Dean Ryan Cup final when Moran's side got the better of Coachford College 1-23 to 2-15. Their final opponents, CBC, Cork defeated Thurles CBS 2-15 to 2-9 in the other semi-final. This will be CBC Cork's first time competing in a Dean Ryan Cup final.

The North Circular Road school can call on Eoin Hennessy, Shane Waters, Gavin O'Brien and Rian Horgan who all played Dr Harty Cup for their school this year.

After Ardscoil Rís exited the Dr Harty Cup with a defeat to St Flannan's College, Ennis, they will be keen to get their hands on a provincial U17 ‘A’ hurling title.

Ardscoil Rís recorded a 4-20 to 2-17 victory over Nenagh CBS in the quarter-final of the Dean Ryan Cup. The Limerick college have won the Munster U17 ‘A’ Hurling competition on three occasions in 2009, 2016 and 2023.
