THE two quarter-finals in the Whitebox Limerick senior hurling championship take place this Sunday.Ballybrown will face Adare on Sunday afternoon in the first of the Limerick SHC quarter-finals at 2pm in Askeaton. The winner of that clash will take on holders Doon in the SHC semi-final.
Kilmallock and Monaleen meet in the other quarter-final on Sunday evening in Bruff at 4:30pm and the winner will face Na Piarsaigh in the other semi-final. Both Limerick SHC semi-finals take place on the weekend of October 4/5. The Limerick senior hurling championship final has been fixed for October 19 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
Ballybrown v Adare, Askeaton, Sunday, 2pm
BALLYBROWN come into this weekend's clash on the back of an impressive ten point victory over Kilmallock.
It has been an impressive group campaign for Ballybrown finishing in third place in group one on six points. Limerick senior hurler Aidan O'Connor has been in sensational form for the city based hitting 2-47 during the SHC. After coming up short in quarter-finals in 2023 and 2024, Ballybrown will be keen to push on in the SHC.
After strugggling last year in group two, Adare have bounced excellently finishing in second place of group two. Former Limerick minor Patrick Kearney has been on target with 2-25 for Mark Foley's side during the SHC.
Willie Griffin and Wayne McNamara have recovered from their respective injuries and both played a part off the bench in their dramatic victory over Newcastle West.Declan Hannon limped off with an ankle injury last weekend and Hannon remains an injury doubt this weekend.

Monaleen v Kilmallock, Bruff, Sunday, 4:30pm
MONALEEN already had promotion wrapped up into group one for next year before last weekend.It afforded Eoin Brislane to experiment with his starting XV. Patrickswell narrowly defeated Monaleen last year in the quarter final.
Kilmallock manager James Hickey will be looking for a big reaction from his side this weekend.The south Limerick side were defeated by Ballybrown by ten points last Saturday.
Micheal Houlihan limped off with an injury in the first half last weekend against Ballybrown. Former Limerick hurler Graeme Mulcahy, Gearoid Enright and Ciaran O'Connor were all not fit enough to tog out for the south Limerick club.
Shane O'Brien has scored an impressive 2-36 for Hickey's side during the SHC. Donnacha Ó Dálaigh has been on target with 2-14 from play for the Casltletroy outfit.

There will a break next weekend in the Limerick SHC, with the senior football championship getting back underway.The winners of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship will face Ballygunner in the Munster senior hurling championship quarter-final on November 2 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 3.30pm .
