BALLYBROWN defeated Patrickswell 1-18 to 2-9 in round three of the Whitebox Limerick senior hurling championship on Saturday evening in Mick Neville Park. This was Ballybrown's first victory over their neighbours for the first time since 1991 in the Limerick SHC.

It is the first time in over a decade that Patrickswell will not compete in the knockout stages of the championship. In Group One, County champions Doon take on Ballybrown on Friday evening in Kilmallock at 6.15pm. Ahane and Patrickswell meet in Claughaun also on Friday, 6.3opm. The ‘Well' will need a win to avoid being relegated to Group two.
