ADARE and Monaleen open group two of the Limerick senior hurling championship campaign this evening in Fedamore at 7pm. 

Mark Foley replaces Louis Mulqueen as manager of Adare this year. Foley is ably assisted by former Limerick hurler Shane Fitzgibbon and Limerick goalkeeping coach Timmy Houlihan. Adare just avoided relegation from the senior hurling championship in 2024.

Tipperary native Eoin Brislane enters his fourth year in charge of Monaleen. The Castletroy outfit reached the SHC quarter-finals in 2024 where they came up short against Patrickswell.Last year was a positive year for Monaleen where they won the premier minor and U20 hurling titles.

Limerick senior hurler Donnacha Ó Dálaigh, alongside U20 talents Darragh Langan, Matthew Fitzgerald, and Dara Ferland, represents just a portion of the promising future within the Monaleen setup. Meanwhile, Adare have been bolstered by the experience of Declan Hannon and Ronan Connolly, with further strength added through former Limerick minor Patrick Kearney.
