PICTURES: Fans proudly supporting Limerick for All-Ireland quarter-final clash with Dublin

LIMERICK senior hurlers bowed out of the All-Ireland series when suffering a shock 2-24 to 0-28 quarter-final defeat to an inspired Dublin side at Croke Park on Saturday.

Two goals midway through the second-half, which arrived within seconds of each other, from substitute John Hetherton and Cian O'Sullivan, set the Dubs' on their way to victory at GAA HQ.

It was a disappointing end to the year for the thousands of Limerick fans in an official attendance of 36546 who made the journey to Dublin for Saturday's game.

Photographer Brendan Gleeson captured all the colour and excitement among Limerick fans as they headed to the big game.
