Cork name team for National Hurling League clash with Limerick

CORK have announced their starting XV ahead of their clash with Limerick in the opening round of the Allianz National Hurling League on Saturday evening. The Division 1A clash gets underway at 7:30pm in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. 

The Rebels opened their National League campaign with a comprehensive victory over Wexford last weekend. Pat Ryan has made four changes from the team that defeated Wexford. Brian Hayes and Padraig Power impressed scoring 1-8 between them in Cork's victory over Wexford.

Eoin Roche, Alan Connolly, Ethan Twomey and Ciaran Joyce all come into the starting XV. 

Ryan has included nine of the Cork team that defeated Limerick in last year's All-Ireland semi-final. Declan Dalton misses this game through suspension, while captain Sean O'Donoghue picked up a groin injury in his side's victory over Wexford.

Patrick Horgan, Eoin Downey and Mark Coleman are all held in reserve. Limerick are aiming to defeat Cork for the first since 2022 in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
