Former Limerick Stength & conditioning coach joins Derry backroom team

FORMER Limerick strenght & conditioning coach Cairbre Ó Cairealláin has joined the Derry senior football backroom team ahead of the 2025 season. 

CairbreÓ Cairealláin joined the Limerick senior hurling backroom team in 2022. The Antrim native was part of the Limerick senior hurling backroom team when the Treaty County won two All-Ireland senior hurling championships and three Munster championship titles. 

Ó Cairealláin studied in the University of Limerick and he started out gaining experience with the Limerick GAA academy in the early stages of his career. 

After studying in the University of Limerick, the Belfast man linked up with Premier League soccer side Arsenal. Then Ó Cairealláin returned to Limerick where he worked alongside John Kiely and Paul Kinnerk and he played a vital part in the development of Limerick hurling.
