THREE Limerick schools are in action today in round two of the Dr Harty Cup.

In Group one of the Munster 'A' Post Primary hurling competition, John The Baptist Community School take on Scoil na Trionóide Naofa in a local derby today at 1:30pm in Kilteely.

The Hospital outfit recorded an impressive 4-20 to 0-20 victory over Rice College, Ennis in round one of the Dr Harty Cup. Limerick minor hurling captain Diarmuid Hurley and Garryspillane star Hugh Flanagan stood out scoring 2-9 out their side's 4-20.

Scoil na Trionóide Naofa will be disappointed with their opening round defeat to CBC Cork. The Doon side will look to get things back on track against John The Baptist and record their first win of this year's Dr Harty Cup campaign.

CBC, Cork face Rice College, Ennis in the other game in group one.

In Group two, Ardscoil Rís will look to make it two wins out two against Our Lady's College Templemore in Burgess at 1:30pm. Adare clubman Patrick Kearney scored 1-14 in the city side's victory over Castletroy College in round one.

Ardscoil Rís were defeated in last year's Dr Harty Cup final and Niall Crowe's charges will look to go one step further than last year.
