MAN of the Match Adam English described Doon's history-making Bon Secours Limerick senior hurling final success as 'probably the best day of my life' following his side's 0-16 to 2-9 victory over Na Piarsaigh at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday evening.

Limerick senior star English said Doon's nail-biting final win, which saw the East Limerick side secure the coveted title for the first time, was 'unbelievable'.

The talented attacked contributed a handsome 0-11 of his side's total, including an impressive haul of four points from play.

English was speaking with TG4 following Sunday's decider at a rain-soaked Ennis Road venue where Na Piarsaigh had been bidding to complete a three-in-a-row of county senior hurling final wins.
