Dr Harty Cup hurling campaign gets underway for four Limerick schools

ROUND one of the Dr. Harty Cup takes place today at 1:30pm. Four Limerick schools are in action today in the Munster post-primary schools senior ‘A’ hurling competition. 

Ardscoil Rís and Castletroy College face off in a local derby at Claughaun in group two of the Dr. Harty Cup. Ardscoil Rís reached last year's Harty Cup final where the City based colloge were defeated by Neenagh CBS. Castletroy reached last year's preliminary quarter-final. Castletroy will be looking to build on that campaign. Our Lady's Templemore face Colaiste Choilm in the other game in group two. 

John the Baptist Community School take on Rice College, Ennis in their opening game at Meelick GAA club in group one. The Hospital/Herbertstown outfit reached the knockout stages of the Dr. Harty Cup last year. Scoil Na Tríonóide Naofa meet CBC, Cork at Glenroe in other game in group one of the Dr. Harty Cup.
