FOMRER Limerick senior hurler Barry O'Connell lined out for Toomevara in the Tipperary senior hurling championship semi-final on Saturday last.
Toomevara defeated Moycarkey-Borris 2-19 to 0-20 to reach the decider.
O'Connell lined out at corner back on Saturday afternoon in Semple stadium. Toomevara have advanced to their first Tipperary SHC Final since 2008. Toom will now face Loughmore-Castleiney in the Tipperary SHC Final.
Barry O'Connnell was part of the Limerick senior hurling panel in 2018. O'Connell was part of the extended Limerick senior hurling panel that went onto to win the All-Ireland SHC title in 2018.
The former Limerick hurler transferred from Kildimo-Pallaskenry to Toomevara this year. In 2017 and 2019 O'Connell was part of the Kildimo-Pallaskenry team that won Intermediate and Premier Intermediate championship titles.
In 2015, Limerick won the Munster U21 hurling title. O'Connell lined out on that team alongside Richie English, Mike Casey, Gearoid Hegarty, Diarmaid Byrnes, Cian Lynch, Tom Morrissey, Darragh O'Donovan and Sean Finn.
