DONAL O'Grady is set to become the new manager of the Limerick minor hurling team. O'Grady has been a selector with the Limerick senior hurling team since 2020.

The Granagh-Ballingarry native is set to take over from his former inter-county teammate Shane Dowling.

The former Limerick captain has been part of John Kiely's management team in the last four years where the Treaty County have went on to win three All-Ireland titles and four Munster titles.

It was disappointing year for Limerick minor hurling in 2024. Limerick failed to win a game in the Munster MHC round-robin series.

Donal O'Grady will be ratified as Limerick minor hurling manager at the next County Board in October.

Ardscoil Rís, Castletroy College, John The Baptist, Hospital and Scoil Na Troinoide Naofa, Doon are all taking part in this year's Harty Cup which gets underwway on October 16. O'Grady will hope to see some of his Limerick minor hurling panel in action during the post primary competition.

John Flavin, Alan Cunningham, Donal O'Grady and Aonghus O'Brien were all part of the Limerick senior hurling backroom team this year. John Kiely is expected to make some changes to his backroom team ahead of the 2025 season.
