THE venues for the Bon Secours Limerick senior hurling championship semi-finals have been confirmed.
This year's Limerick SHC semi-finals will take place in Kilmallock and Mick Neville Park on October 13.
It was reported at a recent Limerick county board meeting that there was some damage done to a section of the pitch at the TUS Gaelic Grounds following the staging of a three-day music festival at the venue in late August.
Limerick County Board has now made the decision that in order to protect the playing surface at the Ennis Road venue the upcoming county senior hurling semi-finals will not be played there.
The semi-finals of the Bon Secours Limerick senior hurling championship are set to take place on October 13 with the quarter-finals down for decision on Sunday next.
Doon face the winners of next Sunday's quarter-final between Patrickswell or Monaleen in the semi-final in Kilmallock at 1pm on October 13.
Holders Na Piarsaigh will meet either Kilmallock or Ballybrown in the second semi-final of the SHC in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale at 4pm on October 13.
Patrickswell take on Monaleen in the first of this weekend's SHC quarter-finals this Sunday at 2pm in Bruff, while Kilmallock and Ballybrown battle it out for a place in the last four in Mick Neville Park at 5pm.
The Limerick SHC final is set to take place in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday, October 27.
