ACTION in the Bon Secours Limerick senior hurling championship resumes later this week with crucial round three fixtures down for decision.

In Mick Neville Park, on this Thursday August 29 at 7pm Kilmallock and Ahane meet in a Group 1 mid-table clash. The winners will put themselves in a strong position to reach the quarter-finals of the SHC.

It has been a mixed campaign for both sides having registered a victory and suffered a defeat in the group stages to date.

Na Piarsaigh meet Doon in a top-of-the-table clash at 6.30pm on Friday in Kilmallock. Both sides will be aiming to make it three wins out of three.

On Saturday next at 4pm in Claughan, Patrickswell face Mungret St Paul's in a local derby. The losers will put themselves under pressure to survive in Group One of the SHC for 2025. Patrickswell and Mungret St Paul's are yet to win a group game.

Last year's Premier Intermediate champions, Dromin-Athlacca have impressed in the senior hurling championship. Dromin-Athlacca face Kildimo Pallaskenry in group two of the SHC this Friday, August 30 at 6.30pm in Newcastle West.

While Dromin-Athlacca have maintained their 100% record in group two, Kildimo-Pallaskenry will be looking for a reaction after their heavy defeat to Ballybrown last time out.

Meanwhile, Adare will look to register their first win of the campaign against Monaleen in Bruff on Saturday at 6:30pm. Adare are yet to win a game in this year's SHC. Monaleen will be aiming to back up their second round victory over South Liberties.

Bottom-placed ‘Liberties’ take on top-of-the-table Ballybrown in Fedamore at the same time on Saturday evening.
South Liberties have suffered two heavy defeats in their games to date. Ballybrown sit at the top of the table in group two of SHC.

After round three of the SHC, round four of the SHC will take place the following week from from September 5 until September 7.

There will then be one round of the group stage left and those games will take place on the weekend of September 19.
