THE Limerick masters hurling squad will begin their All-Ireland Championship campaign on the weekend of August 31. Limerick will begin their campaign with an away trip to Cork. The Treaty County will play two home games against Wexford and Galway along with trips to Kildcare and Tipperary.
2009 was the last time there was an All-Ireland masters hurling championship.
Each team will play eachother in a group series, Limerick are guranteed five games in the All-Ireland Championship. The top two games will advance into the All-Ireland final, while the teams that finish third and fourth will face off in the shield final. Both finals take place on Saturday October 19.
Each side will be awarded two points for victory and one point if a games finishes level.
Five former Limerick hurlers are part of this year's squad which include Ollie Moran, Niall Moran, Paudie Reale, Damien Reale and Barry Foley.
Seoirse Bulfin who has coached Waterford, Wexford and Clare and managed the Meath senior hurlers is also part of this years squad. The Bruff man has recently been announced as the Westmeath senior hurling manager for the 2025 season.
Paul Butler of South Liberties manages the side and he is ably assisted Mike Flynn, Owen O'Sullivan, Hugh Dunne, Katie Lynch and Majella Scanlon.
