AFTER Limerick's defeat to Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final, the club hurling championship is just around the corner. The Limerick senior hurlers will now return to their respective clubs.
The Premier Intermediate Championship will get underway on the weekend of July 25, while the Senior and Intermediate Championships will commence on the weekend of August 1.
Reigning county champions Na Piarsaigh will face Mungret St Pauls, Doon, Killmallock, Patrickswell and Ahane in the Senior A Championship.
The top two teams in group one reach the Limerick SHC semi-finals. Third and fourth in group one play the teams that finish in first and second in Senior B in the Limerick SHC quarter-finals.
The team that finishes bottom in the Senior A Championship will be relegated to Senior B for 2025, while the team that finishes top of the Senior B Championship will be promoted to the top tier of Limerick hurling for 2025.
In the Senior B Championship Ballybrown, Adare, Monaleen, South Liberties and Kildimo Pallaskenry are joined by Premier Intermediate champions Dromin Athlacca.
Garyspillane have made the drop to Premier Intermediate after being relegated from Senior hurling they will face Glenroe, Blackrock, Newcastle West, Effin, Bruff, Na Piarsaigh and Granagh Ballingarry in the Premier Intermediate hurling championship.
The Premier Intermediate Championship is a round robin series with each team playing seven games and the top four teams advance to the last four with the team that finishes bottom being relegated to Intermediate for 2025.
Last Intermediate county finalists Croagh Kilfinny will be joined by Murroe Boher, St Kieran's, Mungret St Pauls, Bruree and Pallasgreen in group one of the Intermediate Championship.
Group two of the Intermediate Championship sees Hospital-Herbertstown, Cappamore, Croom, Feohanagh, Knockainey and Kilmallock battle it out.
The team that finishes top in group one and group two advances directly into the Intermediate semi-final, while 2nd and 3rd in each group face off in the quarter final. Relegation in the Intermediate is decided by the bottom in group one and group two facing off in the relegation final.
