THIS YEAR'S Munster Senior Hurling Championship Final in FBD Semple Stadium has been delayed due to a power outage that has affected all of Thurles.
The throw-in for the highly anticipated game between rivals Limerick and Clare has been changed to 4:30pm rather than the original 4pm because of the outage.
Speaking on the Sunday Game Live programme on RTÉ 2, Dermot Weeshie Lynch of the Munster GAA council spoke about the delayed throw-in.
He went on to say: "Unfortunately we had a serious power outage in the whole of Thurles and that has obviously affected the stadium here in Thurles as well so we have met with all the stakeholders and Gardaí and the event controllers and in the interest of heath and safety we have given an extra 30 minutes."

"We obviously have issues with the scoreboard and hawk-eye so we are working closely with the ESB to get it all back up and running quickly. Once it goes it affects everything in the stadium."
