Limerick to host two Cheltenham Festival Preview Nights

An All-star panel has been confirmed for Thursday evening's Cheltenham Preview Night at Limerick Racecourse in aid of Irish Injured Jockeys and sponsored by BoyleSports

TWO Cheltenham Preview Nights are set to take place in Limerick ahead of the big National Hunt racing festival.

Limerick Racecourse and BoyleSports are teaming up to host one of the first Cheltenham Preview evenings of the year this Thursday, February 20, as punters count down the remaining weeks until the famous four-day racing bonanza on the Cotswolds.

Hosted by the Racing Post’s David Jennings, the star-studded panel will include David Casey, Assistant Trainer to Willie Mullins, Upping the Ante’s Johnny Dineen, Gold Cup winning jockeys Robbie Power and Bryan Cooper, and trainer, Shark Hanlon.

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Irish Injured Jockeys.

Tickets will cost €20 (+€2 booking fee) with all proceeds from the event donated to the Irish Injured Jockeys fund. Guests will also be treated to a free bet, a free drink and finger food on arrival before the best in the business give their tips for the biggest meeting on the racing calendar.

The preview evening promises to whet the appetites of Limerick locals just ahead of the main event as this year racing fans will be able to enjoy the Cheltenham Festival from Limerick racecourse. The team at Patrickswell will host a seven-race jumps card including a Grade 3 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle and Cheltenham Watch Party on Thursday, March 13. Attendees will be able to soak up all of the action of live racing and catch every race from Day 3 of the Cheltenham Festival on the big screen.
