GARDAI are investigating an alleged ramming incident in a Limerick town on Wednesday evening.
LimerickLive understands that the incident happened at around 8pm, a short time after an altercation broke out at a premises in Patrickswell.
Gardai were called after three vehicles were involved in an alleged ramming incident. It is not believed anyone was injured.
Three men in their 20s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Roxboro Road Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Videos of the incident were widely circulated online, showing both vehicles with significant damage.
Niall Collins, Minister of State urged anyone who can assist gardai to do so.
"The trend we are seeing where people use cars as weapons cannot be allowed to continue".
Gardai have carried out technical examinations at the scene and investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward. Any road users who were in the area of Main Street, Patrickswell on Wednesday evening between 8p.m. and 8.30p.m. and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
