ALMOST 500 business leaders attended the Limerick Chamber Regional Awards which doubled as Donal Cantillon's president's dinner.
The gala event, which took place at the Limerick Strand Hotel was the first fledged awards ceremony since 2019, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Raheen-based company Stryker has won the overall award for business of the year while JP McManus was presented with a lifetime achievement award to a standing ovation in the packed room.
One of the mainstays of the local economy, Stryker employs 950 people in the Raheen business park, a number expected to grow in the coming year.
The annual Chamber awards dinner is sponsored by the Technological University of the Shannon and the Limerick Leader/Limerick Live is a media partner.
