Emergency services attend Limerick river rescue in early hours

EMERGENCY services were deployed to assist in the rescue of an individual from the river Shannon in the city in the early hours of this Thursday morning. 

Three fire units, Limerick Marine Search and Rescue, and the Irish Coastguard's Rescue 115 were in attendance at the scene, which occurred within proximity of the Clayton Hotel at approximately 3.30am. 

A female was retrieved at 4.40am and taken from the scene via ambulance.
