Twilight Racing returns to Limerick with ‘Most Stylish’  contest sure to excite interest

THEY'RE under starter's orders for the Twilight Racing series at Limerick racecourse and the race will soon be on to find Limerick’s ‘Most Stylish’ person, with a €250 voucher up for grabs at each meeting, writes Jess Casey.

Limerick Racecourse has partnered with the Crescent Shopping Centre to  sponsor the Twilight Most Stylish competition during this year’s Twilight series.  

“It’s always a fun occasion and a great social outlet for people of all ages in Limerick and the surrounding area,” Crescent Shopping Centre general manager John Davitt said. 

“We are delighted to be part of it, and wish all the ladies luck with competing for Most Stylish look each evening of the races,” he added.

Dates for the Twilight Racing series include Thursday May 30, Saturday June 15, Friday June 21, Saturday July 15 and Thursday July 25. 

The Most Stylish Lady on each evening will win a €250 voucher from the Crescent Shopping Centre and a gift from Neville Jewellers. 

The fashion is only one element of the Twilight race evening, with three hours of live horse racing and seven races on the card to enjoy, along with resident DJ entertaining the crowd between races. 

Once the racing is over, some of Limerick’s best known acts will take to the stage including Tiny Giants on Thursday May 30, and June 21, Drive on Saturday June 15, Stagefright on Saturday July 13 and the final act is Handipak on Thursday July 26. 

Limerick Racecourse will also offer its patrons a free shuttle bus back to Limerick city on each evening.
