FOR THE third year in a row haulier and publican Jimmy O’Neill, from Hospital, is holding a truck and tractor run in memory of his brother Lar.
All proceeds will go to the Irish Kidney Association. It will leave O'Neill's yard in Hospital at 1.30pm on Easter Sunday. Registration from 11.30am. There will be a barbecue, fun activities for children and music from 5pm in O’Neill’s bar.
The late Lar, who had suffered kidney disease in his early twenties, received a successful kidney transplant which he enjoyed for almost three decades before, sadly, he passed away from an unrelated illness aged 54.
The O’Neill family have chosen to support the Irish Kidney Association because Lar enjoyed a new lease of life for almost thirty years thanks to his transplant. They want to help raise awareness about the importance of carrying an organ donor card.
All vehicles are welcome on Sunday. For more information please see O’Neill’s Heavy Haulage Facebook page.
