Minister for Mental Health to visit Limerick Youth Service to present award

Minister for Mental Health, Jim Daly TD will be at Limerick Youth Service, 5 Lr. Glentworth Street this week where he will present LYS with the prestigious ‘Investing in Children’ award.

Minister Daly will also launch a counselling video and a YouthLinks Limerick brochure as well as meeting members of LYS’ youth advisory panel during the Tuesday, January 22 from 11am-12pm visit.

YouthLinks Limerick was a collaboration by LYS with Jigsaw and Limerick Social Service’s Centre that highlighted the services provided by the three organisations.

“Our youth advisory panel is a group of young people who have been to the fore in advocating for and changing attitudes to youth mental health,” said LYS’ Siobhan Wilmott, youth mental health worker.
