Caroline Currid, sports psychologist to the victorious Limerick Senior Hurlers, will be a special guest on the night
TICKETS have been selling well for a Christmas Party Night in County Limerick being organised by a small group of women under the banner Let’s Fight Cancer Mid-West.
But there is still a chance to nab your tickets for December 8 in the Longcourt House Hotel, Newcastle West, making it the perfect start to the festive season.
The evening will involve dinner with complimentary wine, live music with The Lost Boys and dancing later in the evening. But, promises Lisa Ruttle, there will be some surprises on the night and lots of prizes to be won.
Lisa and the band of women in Let’s Fight Cancer Mid-West are particularly excited that the special guest on the night will be Caroline Currid, sports psychologist to the victorious Limerick Senior Hurlers, All-Ireland champions.
“Caroline will talk about motivation and her work with the team, and how she inspires others,” Lisa explained.
“We will also be auctioning a hurley signed by the Limerick hurlers and a football signed by the Limerick Ladies Footballers All Ireland Winning Team. This is an opportunity to pick up a piece of history and not to be missed.”
They also expect to be joined on the night by members of the winning teams.
All proceeds from the night will be divided between the Mid-West Cancer Foundation and Milford Care Centre and the hope is that last year’s €12,780 will be matched, or surpassed.
Contact Lisa Ruttle 087-9544848, Joan O’Sullivan 086-1625960 or Vicky Murphy 087-2354180 for tickets.
