AS A NATIONAL school in Limerick embarks on an exciting new development, parents, past pupils and friends at home or abroad are invited to support its expansion with a Brick by Brick campaign.

St Michael’s National School, Barrington Street is now set for development following the allocation of grant monies for a new classroom and resource room, with planning permission for a larger reception area, sensory garden and all-weather playing pitch also granted.

It is hoped that contractors will be appointed before the end of the year, with a view to commencing the construction work during 2018.

The school has now launched a Brick by Brick fundraising campaign to meet additional costs not covered by the Department.  Businesses and friend’s of the school community are invited to buy a brick inscribed with their name for the new development for €50.

Bricks can be purchased online on www.smnslimerick.ie/buy-brick-campaign/ or by calling 061 315927.
