Gardai appeal for witnesses following fatal road crash in Tipperary

GARDAI are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road crash in Tipperary late on Friday night.

Gardai are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ardmayle, Cashel, Co. Tipperary at around 11.30pm on Friday night.

The driver of the car, a 51-year-old man, was fatally injured when his car hit a fence. His body has since been removed to the mortuary in South Tipperary General Hospital.

The road was closed to facilitate an examination by the Garda forensic collision investigators, with local diversions in place.

Gardai are appealing to any persons or motorists who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at Cahir Garda Station on 052-744630, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
