NO INJURIES or damage to property has been reported after a shooting incident on the southside of Limerick city.
Following a query from Limerick Live, a garda spokesperson confirmed they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding an incident where a firearm was discharged.
It occurred at around 8.35pm in the Ballinacurra Weston area of Limerick city on Monday, January 19.
“No injuries or damage were reported at the time. Investigations are ongoing,” said a garda spokesperson.

Tensions are reported to be high in the area with a number of incidents - related to an ongoing dispute between rival factions - taking place.
Armed, uniform and plainclothes gardai are all on alert. Regular patrols are being conducted in the Ballinacurra West area.
