GARDAI in Ballina, County Tipperary are seeking to identify a man who used stolen credit card details at a petrol station in the village.

CCTV footage of the man was broadcast on the Crimecall programme on RTÉ One television on Monday night.

Making an appeal for information about the culprit, Garda Greg Freegove told viewers the incident happened late last year.

“He has been caught on camera at this petrol station using stolen credit card details to pay for a number of items. It took place last September and if you can name him we want to hear from you,” he said.

The man who features on the CCTV is bald and has sunglasses resting on his head. He is wearing a light top and dark coloured jacket as he approaches the counter and appears to be wearing a distinctive lanyard around his neck.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimecall at 1800 405060.
